One entry in Urban Dictionary defines boudoir photography as "nudey pictures." Sure, it can be. But boudoir photography is also so much more than that. It's art, it's empowering, it's liberating... and honestly, it's a lot of fun!

The better question is, why wouldn't you?? A common reason for doing boudoir portraits that we herar is to give as a gift to a partner or spouse. This is a great reason! But our favorite reason is: because I want to! While boudoir portraits make an amazing gift, you should also do them for yourself. Got a milestone birthday coming up? Treat yourself! Promotion at work? Treat yourself! Feeling down? Get engaged? Is it Tuesday night and you're just feeling amazing? Treat yourself! Boudoir portraits can make you feel sexy, strong, and empowered, and you never need a reason for them.

You don't have to be! Are you a woman? Are you 19 or older? Then a boudoir session with Blushing Fox is definitely for you! We are experienced in using flattering lighting, angles, and poses to photograph women of all ages, shapes, and sizes and make them look and feel beautiful. Don't worry if you don't think you are model material, because we think you are! And we're the professionals. ;-)

Only if you want to be! We want you to feel comfortable throughout your entire session and that means you get to decide how much or how little clothing you wear. Some clients feel sexy being naked, strategically covered with a white sheet, and others may feel sexy in a cute pair of boyshorts and a sweater. There's so many options, and we love them all! We will never ask you to show more than you are comfortable with and we discuss these things with you before your session so that there's no awkward moments during. But only you know your comfort level, so please don't be afraid to speak up!

If you're not at least a little nervous, then you're braver than we are! Being nervous is totally normal. But we are here to help you work through that. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and at ease, so we like to spend some time before your session talking and getting to know each other. And you can leave the posing knowledge to us. We will guide you into flattering poses that look natural - even if they don't feel natural. Sometimes the best looking poses may feel super awkward, but trust us. They will look great!

We recommend bringing 3-4 outfits to your session. We may not have time for all of them, but it's nice to have options. Be sure to check the fit of everything first and choose outfits that make you feel good and reflect your personality. It can be sexy lingerie, a bra and underwear, a sweater and thigh highs, or even yours or your partner's favorite T-shirt. As far as makeup, hair, and other preparations, after you book your session we will send you a helpful guide with some tips and suggestions to help you prepare for your session so that you look and feel your best.

Your initial investment is $500. This non-refundable retainer fee will secure your 1.5 hour session and professional hair and makeup. After that, it depends on how much you want. We have many products to offer, including beautiful leather albums, boxed prints, and framed wall prints for the bedroom (or maybe the master bathroom if you want them a little more hidden). We are proud of our work and we want you to love your final product, so we work with you at your private viewing and ordering session to be sure you are getting everything you need and at the highest quality. We also have samples for you to see and hold to help you decide. Most clients spend an average of $2600, but some spend less and some spend more.

Never without your permission! We think you look amazing and would love to share your photos with other women considering a session, but we completely understand if you want them kept private. Some women are so proud of their images (and why shouldn't they be?) that they allow us to use any images from their session. Some women request that we only use images that do not show their face. And some women would rather we don't use any. We are totally cool with your choice and promise to respect your level of privacy. In the event that you are proud of your amazing images and our work and allow us to use all or any of them on our website or social media, keep in mind that we will never tag you or use your name. But you can always tag yourself if you wish!
